The Rise of Vernacular Content & Hinglish: Local is the New Global

Gone are the days when English was considered the local language. With time, due to the help of 700 million active users in India, Hinglish is the new language. Yes, approximately every minute, Indians upload something from their hometown, and that too in their native language. Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Marathi, etc, the combination of languages once termed tough, is now the new language of India’s digital platform as it’s no longer limited to English. Due to our prominent efforts, Local is the New Global.

With the help of Indian citizens, our mixed language is now the New Global from the Local, which has even encouraged people to write books and online sets on the same topic. This fever is growing rapidly across the globe. Since the introduction of Reels, our Local Language has become Global because our trending reels are the resource for them to re-release or mimic our particular video.

From English to our Local Hinglish –

Years ago, people preferred to talk in English to make an impression at college, conferences, seminars, sessions, schools, and interviews. But big thanks to Ambani, Jio, and reduced data plans, Indian citizens started communicating in the local language, and that’s when we got our local language – Hinglish.

With the increase in utilization, people’s algorithms started getting set from their specific zones, and our Hindi began to be considered. According to one survey, almost 9 out of 10 people in India prefer listening to their regional languages, which has even cost Social Media Giants like Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, Netflix, Google, etc., crores to invest in Local Hindi in India.

How is Hinglish, our Local, the new Global and in trend?

Anticipated mainly through the Social Media communication platforms like Instagram and Facebook, our Hinglish has become the new language. We aren’t just in trend; we are running across Google. Hinglish Examples are –

  • Mood to hai par, Budget nahin
  • Kya hi Mast Party thi yar
  • Kal ka Scene kya hai?
  • What’s the planning ki kal kya karne vale haen?

The above examples aren’t misspelled words or half-cooked language, but examples of the Global Trend—Hinglish, our Local. You must have noticed that companies also favor Hinglish nowadays, and each advertisement is in Hinglish.

Why Hinglish, our Local works prominently?

Hinglish isn’t just our local language, base, and mother tongue. Whatever it is, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bagheli, Punjabi, or Marvadi, all of these are prominently accepted across the nation because –

  • Wide Reaching Factor –

Suppose you are from Madhya Pradesh. Then, your local language, Hindi, is already a vocal one across the nation, which denotes the Hindi belt. The whole of India can be your audience. Yes, Hindi is understandable by 96% of Indians, which, in fact, is a wide-reaching factor.

  • Based on our Culture –

India is our Culture’s Home. Whether you are a Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, or Christian or from a South or North state, your locals will be your first audience based on your culture. Our culture and language both connect to nature.

  • Trust Builder –

Hinglish, our Local, is our voice and strength; before that, it’s our trust builder. Yes, we immediately trust people outside India or via Instagram when they start speaking Hinglish. Companies even pitch you their CTA in Hinglish to gain the public’s trust.

  • Emotionally Connected –

Imagine some random person talking with you in English or Marathi when you are from the Hindi Belt, but if that person speaks in Hindi, you will feel more connected. That’s how Hindi is the root cause of our communication and is emotionally connected, too, as our psychology has Hindi as the only local language through which we can trust the person and feel relaxed and connected.

Which language is preferred for the remaining 99% of your daily communication? Share your preferred language and the topic in your mother tongue, and share this blog with your friends to appreciate our Hinglish, a Local to the New Global.
