Relentless Weekends: How Does It Feel to Work on a Weekend?

Weekends — Rest, Recharge, or a Quiet Classroom?

For many, weekends are sacred, reserved strictly for family, rest, and recharging after a hectic week. And rightly so, taking a break is definitely important. It renews your energy and helps you come back stronger.

Still, working on a weekend can feel different for everyone. For some, it’s an irritation, caused by family pressures, a poor work culture, or simply the monotony of doing the same tasks over and over.

For me, though, work is devotion. I worship my work. My driving force is the joy of learning something new each day. In this fast-paced world, if you are getting a chance to learn without extra effort, it is always worthy. That’s how I see weekend work; not as a burden, but as an opportunity.

Of course, balance matters. Family, self-care, and relationships should never ever be overlooked. I think maybe that’s why women, in particular, are often seen as multi-talented. We always carry multiple responsibilities and still keep moving forward and ace them.

So while I respect that rest is necessary, I urge everyone: don’t stop learning. Don’t cultivate an attitude of resisting opportunities to grow. Even if you don’t love working on weekends, never lose that hunger to learn when life offers you the chance.
