- Echoes of the Past: A Journey of Healing
Life is a journey filled with people who come and go, leaving behind echoes of their presence. Some of these people leave lasting impressions, while others are stored away in the corners of our memory. I’ve learned there’s no point in looking back with regret. Instead, I file these memories into different folders—some named love, others forget-me-not, some tucked away in the recycling bin, or hidden deep within. This is how I move forward.

Some memories become beautiful statues or paintings hung on the walls of my mind. Periodically, I visit them, hug them, and maybe shed a tear or two. I wander through the chambers of my mind, dusting off these memories to see how far I have come. Each one is important, serving a purpose in my life. These interactions have shaped who I am today. Despite everything, the facts remain the same: I care. I truly do care.
My journeys and discoveries have taught me that every encounter, every goodbye, and every new beginning is a part of the intricate tapestry of my life. Each person and experience has contributed to my growth, transforming me into the person I am today. The wounded butterfly within me continues to soar despite its scars, navigating through life’s challenges with resilience and grace.

Escaping from painful memories and toxic relationships was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. The psychological manipulation and emotional turmoil left deep wounds. Yet, regulating my nervous system and finding inner peace have been slow but rewarding processes. I admire those who know how to create a sense of safety, and I hope to encounter such individuals as I continue my journey. I deserve to know what true safety feels like.

I was raised to love monsters—those who are charming and kind in public but cruel behind closed doors. Society often celebrates these masked manipulators, making them easy to hide in plain sight. Telling my story was difficult because I feared disbelief. Yet, almost everyone supported me. Overcoming abuse is a multifaceted process that requires time, patience, support, stamina, and a lot of prayer.

Through the years, I’ve realized that healing isn’t just about getting over a relationship. It’s about reclaiming my brain, nervous system, health, mind, and emotions. Life after abuse is like learning to be human all over again. Every step I take forward is a testament to my strength and resilience.
In the quiet moments, I reflect on the people and experiences that have shaped my life. Though some are gone, their impact lingers. In the chambers of my mind, I revisit these memories, acknowledging the pain and joy they brought. Each journey and discovery has been a crucial part of my healing process, helping me to grow and evolve.
Moving forward, I embrace the echoes of the past while remaining open to new experiences. I trust my instincts, listen to my soul, and allow myself to feel deeply. This journey of healing is ongoing, but with each step, I become more attuned to the beauty and complexity of life.

My journey is one of self-healing. I am on a path of self-discovery and growth, navigating the delicate balance between holding on and letting go, finding strength in the memories that shape us, and embracing the future with hope and courage.

2) Memory Chambers In the chambers of my mind,

Where wounded butterflies reside,
Memories stored in folders.
Some in love, some to hide.
People who have come and gone,
Bridges burned, paths diverged,
I file them all with care.
For their lessons, I have emerged.
Statues and paintings hang.
On the walls of my mind’s hall,
I visit them with gentle hands.

And let a tear or two fall.
Dusting off the memories,
I see how far I’ve come,
Each one serves a purpose.
In the story, I’ve become.
Journeys taken, paths explored,
Discoveries along the way,
Shaping me into who I am,

In the light of each new day.
Though they’re gone from my life,
Their impact lingers,
In the quiet moments,
Their whispers fill the room.
The facts remain the same.

Through every joy and tear,
I care, I deeply care.
For the memories I hold dear.
So, I move forward, step by step.

With wounded butterflies in flight,
Embracing all the moments,
That brought me to the light
