There’s no doubt that Instagram has now emerged as the most utilized application ever. Indeed, you can see that 99% of people nowadays are on Instagram. But to your surprise, Instagram was once the only photo-sharing app. Did you know this? You are a legend if you know you aren’t the Gen Z who has used Instagram a few times.
Jokes apart, Instagram is officially the most widely used Social Media Application because it delivers most of the services people prefer and love to share with the world. Those include posting images or videos, Reels from a 30-second video to now a 20-meter long video, Video Calling and Audio Calling Features, and Communication on chats. Four of five family members will be on Instagram if we take a survey.
How is Instagram more than just a Posting Application?

Instagram has evolved into a dynamic marketplace from a photo-sharing platform, a community hub, and an application where content can make or break personal businesses. It’s obvious that when Instagram has become a community hub, it’s most evident that with millions of posts uploaded daily, the timing of the content is crucial for your business. Followed by Quality, your uploading time is vital for your Instagram game.
Now, more than the Quality of posts, Algorithms have the upper hand in prioritizing engagements, which means you learn when your Instagram audience is active. Just uploading posts in quantity isn’t a game now because algorithms play an essential role in gaining views, engagements, and followers. If you are looking for business, then algorithms are the basics.
Best Time to Post on Instagram –
After a detailed algorithm study, these are the times when you can post on Instagram weekly and daily to reach your desired audience.
- Best Posting Times on Weekdays: (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings are best.)
- Morning (7 AM – 9 AM local time):
Several users check Instagram before school, college, or office hours. On weekdays, this can be the best early time.
- Lunch hours (12 PM – 2 PM):
One of the best times is lunchtime, as most colleges have lunchtime between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. At this time, students used to scroll through the Instagram feed to end their boredom while having lunch.
- Evening (6 PM—9 PM):
Most daily engagements can occur in the evening, from 6 pm to 9 pm. That is when people return from Jobs, Schools, and Colleges. They also used to scroll and watch videos for relaxation and acknowledgment. The best time to post on weekdays is this time only.
- Best Posting Times on Weekends:
- Saturday late mornings (10 AM – 12 PM):
As it’s a Saturday, most colleges and offices have closed. From 10 am to 12 pm, people are likelier to sit and chill with Instagram videos because movie time is in the afternoon; no one watches movies in the morning.
- Sunday evenings (5 PM – 8 PM):
Here, you can play psychologically, as people are already upset that the new week is about to start. These times are best suited for Sundays, as people crave to see more and more videos online, and as of tomorrow, they won’t have enough time.
In addition, the audience may vary from person to person, from account type to type of content and niche you cater to.
